Darth - Nov 08, 2019
I rescued Darth when his owner died three years ago. He was an older cat and an alpha male, but we provided him with his own outdoor kennel, cat condo, and indoor heated bed. He seemed happy here, although I always though he would find the perfect home as an only cat.
We surely miss him.
Max - Nov 08, 2019
Max, our Basset Hound, was a great dog that was stricken with mouth/jaw cancer and, despite the best efforts of our vet, Walter Wethered, and the WSU Vet Center, he died before his time, two days after his seventh birthday.
Keely - Nov 07, 2019
Keely was almost 10 years old when she started having health issues and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. Before that she ran like the wind and acted like a 2 year old pup! She was a beautiful, faithful companion and we miss her everyday.
Princess Penelope “Penny” Meadows - Nov 06, 2019
Many people name their dog Penny, it happens to be one of the most popular dog names around. Our Penny was special, she was kind, protective, loyal and full of energy, but what Corgi isn't. No, our Penny was the best dog a human could ask for. She was spoiled rotten but that's what you get when  [...]
Annie - Nov 06, 2019
I adopted Annie through the Portland, OR, Humane Society. She was very ill with a respiratory infection and was sequestered in foster care in a local home. She was living with dogs and cats but she got along with everyone as she had the sweetest personality in the world! When we met, she was being  [...]
Liam - Nov 04, 2019
Liam’s name meant “Love I Am”. He loved everyone and was the sweetness boy. We miss his adorable face.
Bella - Nov 01, 2019
On September 23, 2019, our beautiful, sweet Bella gained her Angel Wings and crossed over Rainbow Bridge. She was 13-1/2 and from the time she arrived in our home, she stole our hearts as well as that if her big sister, Clara. They were inseparable. Bella’s travel tales began when she arrived into  [...]
Nya - Nov 01, 2019
My daughter brought home Nya, probably without permission, some time around 2002. She named him after some sort of African drum (nyabhingi or something like that) but Nya is what stuck. Unfortunately, everyone just assumed Nya was female and we constantly had to correct the receptionist at the  [...]

Niyah - Oct 28, 2019
She was found in Idaho, lost, terrified and very pregnant. She was taken to a shelter, but because they were at maximum capacity she was transported to the Alternative Humane Society in Bellingham, and was fostered by some wonderful clients of the veterinary hospital I worked in. It was my day to  [...]
