Sophie was our last Greyhound, her sister Izee left us last year in March. Sophie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and less than a week later we made the decision to let her go because she was in tremendous pain. This was January 8 of this year. She would have been 11 on March 1st. We adopted both girls at 8 weeks of age from the Greyhound group I volunteered with in Oklahoma. They were part of an oops litter at a Greyhound breeding farm but because the exact parentage was not known they could not be registered for racing. Sophie was the sweetest girl and had the softest fur of any animal I have ever known. One of the things she did that was so funny was something we called bumpy butts....she would go through your legs so her back was at your front and then we would have to rub her backend while she bounced up and down, she loved doing this so much but it was a bit embarrassing when she tried to do that to guests too! We miss Sophie very much but I know she is reunited with her sister Izee which will make both of them happy, Sophie was very sad when she lost her sister.
