Isabella (Izee) was our 10 year old Greyhound. I volunteered with a Greyhound rescue group in Oklahoma and we took in what they call and oops litter. Greyhound breeding is strictly monitored and meticulous records have to be kept however Izee's mother had puppies and the dad wasn't known so they couldn't be registered to race. We were adopting Izee's sister Sophie and fostering Izee but we couldn't bear to part with her so we adopted her too. She was the sweetest, funniest, most talkative girl. She would talk back to you all the time especially if she was in trouble. Her sister Sophie misses her very much, they were together since conception after all. Izee was diagnosed with a mass on her spleen and after ultrasound testing was done it was found that she had Hemangiosarcoma and her prognosis was not good. She lasted 7 weeks from the time she initially got sick. We miss her every single day.
