Buzz

A donation was made in memory of Buzz by the doctors and staff at Richmond Beach Animal Hospital on Aug 12, 2025.

Eighteen years ago I saw Buzz and his brother Woody for the first time and it was love at first sight. Buzz was a black and white long- haired tuxedo, Woody a grey short-haired tabby. For litter mates, they were very different. Buzz was very in-your-face, when he wanted attention, he would simply climb up my leg. Woody was more laid back, loved pets and brushing but did not like kisses or hugs, which Buzz loved. Buzz was a little goofball. I called him "El Diablo Gatito" and he really was a devil kitten. Woody was a gentleman, but also the protector of the family and yard, yet much more laid back. Six months after getting these two, another set of twins came into my life. Stanley and Stella were feral and it took years to get Stanley to allow me to pet him, brush him or pick him up. He sadly passed away a few years ago. Stella is still feral, but she loved Woody and would follow him, sleep with him, groom him. She was his shadow and he adored her. Buzz passed away on August 7th and Woody on September 2nd, 26 days apart. Stella is now my only cat and she is slowly getting more affectionate. She will climb into my lap in the evening and let me pet her and I've been able to sneak in a few kisses. It's just us girls now and she is as grief-stricken as I am.
