Taffy suddenly passed away on Aug. 5th 2008. Debbie is mentally challenged and Taffy was like a child to her. She loved this puppy with her huge unconditional heart and called herself mommy. Debbie lives with my mother, and Taffy had brought she and Mom many hours of love and enjoyment. Taffy loved to lay in the sun, sleep with her head covered up and play with her toys. She slept in her little bed next to Debbie each night, but would not go to bed until my mother would sing her a goodnight song telling her to close her little eyes. She was always waiting at the door when she and Mom returned from the Dr. etc. Taffy was Debbie's birthday gift four years ago and brought her more joy than words can ever express. She will never be forgotten and will never be far from Debbie's or Mom's heart. Debbie says Taffy is in Heaven and sleeping. She walks out on the front porch each morning to look at her grave in the garden and wipes the tears from her eyes. She sings a little song, then tells Mom to be happy not sad. Taffy is a special baby that will never be forgotten.
