Sassie

A donation was made in memory of Sassie by Doctors and Staff of the Pet Loss Hotline on Jul 31, 2008.

Sassie was born in September of 1995 in a barn stall with 2 littermates. Her life with a back yard breeder was lonely with little or no human contact. The breeder could not "sell" these 3 month old Beagles, that would run at the sight of humans, so shooting them was cheaper than feeding them. We were to late to save the other 2 but after several minutes of persuasion we managed to catch her and save her from the hands of human cruelty and death.

Sassie learned to love and trust one human at a time. First "The Mom" then "Poppy" then "Kristin" then "The World". This process took her 13 years but she never forgot a face. Thank you to all friends and family members who were patient enough to under take the "Sassie Challenge"..."She likes me, She likes me not". A special thanks to the staff members at Riverview Animal Clinic whose patience and understanding of her "Panic Attacks" made her visits less stressful.

We miss our sweet Beagle who knew how to spell t-r-e-a-t, w-a-l-k, and r-i-d-e. The mention of these words was like having a very vocal tornado in the house. Being raised with 3 Vizsla's, she thought she was one of them and we never had the heart to tell her different. Rest assured our special girl, you won't be alone in your new home in heaven...Dallas, Jaida, and CyRuss are all waiting for you there and they know you're a Vizsla too.

Our Love and Fond Memories of Sissy Sassie Suzie will live on forever.

We Miss You so Much!!!

Love "The Mom" and "Poppy"
