Veterinary Work with Pacific Salmon Enhancement Programs in the PNW
Course Description:
This lecture will cover the work veterinarians are doing with Pacific salmon enhancement programs in the Pacific Northwest. Participants will learn about management of Pacific salmon in Washington state with a focus on hatcheries and the diseases of concern common in the region. There will also be discussion about some of the major causes of declining Pacific salmon populations.

NEURO 9: Vascular Disease in Small Animals
Course Description:
Your neurologic patient presents to you with an acute onset of neurologic signs to include forebrain, brainstem and cerebellar signs. The goal with this lecture is to identify the underlying causes of the acute onset of neurologic signs and to guide you through the diagnostic steps to determine the next steps and diagnostic and treatment protocols that are essential to your patient care. Possibilities for vascular disease in the dog and cat include underlying heart disease, thyroid disease, hypertension, underlying endocrine disease and other comorbidities. This lecture will help to identify these diseases and how they affect the central and peripheral nervous systems. Diagnostics and treatment will be identified and discussed.
