Biographies:
  1. Dr. Sarvenaz Bagheri is a first generation Iranian-American.  She grew up in the Chicagoland area. In 2018 she graduated with her DVM from Michigan State University and completed a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania. Afterwards she came to Washington State University to complete a neurology specialty internship and remained in Pullman to pursue a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery. Dr. Bagheri is currently in her second year in the residency.  Outside of work she loves to bake, cook, play soccer, and go bowling. She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her two cats (Loobya and Champignon), dog (Kylo), and sun conure (Zazu). Although she loves all aspects of neurology, she really enjoys long-term epilepsy management and has become increasingly interested in neurosurgery as she has advanced through her residency.
  2. Dr. Vishal Murthy is an Assistant Professor and a new addition to the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Originally from Canada, he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and following an internship in Toronto, completed residency training in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of California, Davis. He stayed on at UC Davis as a faculty instructor for a year before joining the WSU Neurology and Neurosurgery team. His clinical and research interests include seizure diagnosis and management, advanced neurosurgery, and the neural control of urinary continence in neurological patients. He is also interested in understanding how people learn and enjoys exploring novel ways to teach neurology.
