Bonnie

A donation was made in memory of Bonnie by the doctors and staff at Ravenna Animal Hospital and Green Lake Animal Hospital on May 31, 2023.

Bonnie was an amazing German Shepherd mix who was rescued with her 'brother' Bandit (boxer-mastiff) in 2016. They came together as a bonded pair after spending 5 months in shelters after several failed attempts at adoption. These 2 big dogs were wild, but soon were a part of the family! Bonnie didn't know how to love at first. She didn't understand furniture, and would just jump up on the coffee table and stare down at you. She tamed, and grew to love, and became a dog that would trust anyone, and be so gentle with kids. She 'purred' with scratches (deep breathing), hopped like a "Bonnie rabbit" for meals, was a 'snapping turtle' when taking treats. She would sleep at the end of the bed, ears up, and always ready. She would let Bandit cuddle on his "Bonnie butt pillow", as the two of them would snuggle together each evening. They were inseparable. Bandit's loss last year was a big one, but Bonnie carried on. She would remind you when it was time for walks and until the end had boundless energy! Her always happy/smiling face, Shepherd ears, and head tilts were heart melting. Her loss leaves a huge hole in my heart, but I am comforted by her being reunited with her bestest friend in the world over the Rainbow Bridge. I love you always Bonnie xoxo
