CoCo

A donation was made in memory of CoCo by Doctors and Staff of the Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic on Jul 23, 2014.

Coco was a wonderful cat who had a long but difficult life. In 2006 a neighbor trapped him in a humane trap and called us to come get him, since we belong to a pet rescue group and he had been hanging around her house for months. He had a horrible case of ocular herpes and we assumed he was feral because of his constant hissing. He was neutered and treated for his eye condition and brought home. We found out pretty quickly that his “mean guy” persona was an act and he was really a total sweetheart. We never could get his eyes cured and he also had a bad case of stomatitis that resisted treatment. We loved him for eight years until he had be euthanized on July 22, 2014 due to the horrible disease oral squamous cell carcinoma. I don’t know if this disease developed from his stomatitis or not. He was at least 18 when he died. His death ripped our hearts out and we will love and miss him forever.
