Boo was the sweetest kitty I have ever known and I miss her terribly. She struggled with chronic kidney disease for over a year, but was doing well with that at the time of her death. A horrible disease, oral squamous cell carcinoma, was what took her life. I only hope a cure can be found for this terrible, extremely aggressive disease.

Comments: Dear Merridy, I'm so sorry for you loss. Boo sounds like such a sweet soul. My cat Blossom passed away on January 4. I miss her terribly, and I'm grateful for the ten years we spent together. She was my constant companion and saw me through many life transitions. Blossom hadn't been feeling well and a few weeks ago was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma just like Boo. It's a horrible disease - and Blossom's physical decline was rapid. My heart aches - but I try to focus on all the amazing things she taught me about how to live life fully. Thank you again for your story. Warm regards, Elizabeth P.
