Honey

A donation was made in memory of Honey by Christie Anderson on Mar 21, 2011.

Honey came to us as an ill, shy, untrained, socially challenged little girl not understanding why the world had mistreated her loving and beautiful self. It was just a foster, we said. So 3 months later her new family of humans and Bodhi, our male Boxer, moved across country together to start a new life. Honey was an exhuberant, crazy, energetic clown, so we found out over those 5 travel days, and the long term relationship was sealed as she bounced joyfully from bed to bed in each hotel opening her shy self up to life's simple pleasures.
Honey trusted and adored her new family and we showered Honey with love, understanding, compassion, fun and play, positive energy, and the best health care from WSU. Honey actually enjoyed our Pullman visits with Dr Anderson and the caring students picked to assist the wiggly cookie monster. Honey was a fighter, never surrendering to the pitfalls of chemo and countless CBCs. She was a protector, teacher, nurse, adventurer and comic, always 10 steps ahead encouraging us to follow her into this joyful and wonderful life with Boxers. We miss you dearly and hope you are enjoying all the cookies Heaven can provide!
