Dandy was my husband’s horse—an Appy who had two tiny spots to ‘prove it’. He always came right away to be caught no matter the reason. That silly horse made me laugh so many times. He was definitely a curious, people horse. If Bill was working in the pasture, Dandy would be right there messing with his hat or trying to pick up tools. We carried pellets in ice cream buckets in the bed of the truck. We had to watch or move them or he would just pop off the lid himself! Having no fear of plastic bags, he would stick his nose right in to check out bird or squirrel food when we were camping. Cancer took him much too soon in the fall of 2012, but smiles of his antics are always with us.
