I met Denali in her first week of life and I had the good fortune to be with her until the last day of her life. She always reminded me of the joy that life has to offer, no matter how stressful my life was or how many negative things were going on in my life, she always pushed me to be happy and to love life.

Denali was my “Momma dog”, she took care of everyone, all of us and all of the animals. She tried to teach me not to complain, to be happy for the here and now. I’m still working to embrace that way of thinking. Denali will be sorely missed, but I know that she is now happy, healthy and pain free and that she is with family and friends. She watches over us and helps to keep us safe. I look forward to seeing here again when the time is right. Until then I try to practice what she taught me and I see her in the stars.
