Solie
Solie, a beautiful tri-color female collie, filled our lives with joy.
She and I were inseparable (I am a writer and work from home) and formed a
close bond not unlike a shepherdess and her sheepdog. Solie lived her life
with enthusiasm and was equally content to lie quietly by my desk while I
worked or spring into action to play outside. She was sweet, smart, fun and
obedient ... never leaving the boundaries of our small, unfenced yard even
when chasing cottontails. Solie was diagnosed with liver cancer shortly
before Christmas and put down last week. I am heartbroken without her. She
was a "once in a lifetime" type of dog missed terribly by myself, my
husband, and our two cats, bunny, and parakeet.
