Shadow
Recently, my favorite (and first) beloved Golden Retriever "Shadow"
passed at about age 8 or 9, after a very sudden (undetermined) illness.
He was a purebred Golden, rescued from the local humane society about 5
years ago. We were inseparable (thus the name "Shadow"), he always was
nearby and a favorite among the family members. He was a big boy, over
100 lbs when healthy, and loved people (but not always other dogs). Because
of his friendly attitude and
constant companionship, we later got two more purebred Goldens, one a female
(now 10) and a puppy (now 3), and all three were constant companions with
each other and the family. We miss "Shadow" so much, I hope to see him
again at the Golden Bridge.
