Riley
It was only just over a week ago, the day after memorial day when he
passed. I remember the day I picked him up; he was one of three brothers at
a Pet Smart , one ear up, one down and I fell in love with him at first
sight. We knew when he was still young that he had some joint problems,
including a fracture that made his paw go sideways, but it was just part of
his personality. Once I caught him in the backyard with bird feet sticking
out of his mouth, but I said drop it and he did! Riley was not one breed, he
was a beautiful golden Shepherd with the black tongue of a chow . He had
this thing for babies, making sure they were always ok. In the early years
he was fast and as he got older and his hips and knees made it so it was
difficult for him to run but he still enjoyed his life. At 10 years old
Riley lived a grand life, spoiled and loved. It was very difficult to let
him go. I know that he is running, taking care of babies and free if pain
now. But he will always be missed and loved..everyday.
