In Memory of Our Beloved...

Cody Joe

  Cody Joe

Cody Joe our beautiful Seal Point Siamese recently passed away.  We fell in love with him while visiting our local pet store in 1987.  We were blessed with his presence and friendship for 20 years.  Cody joined his two companions, a black lab Brax and Seal Point Siamese Jasper who are also in heaven.  Knowing he is with his buddies has helped our family with our grieving.

Cody never thought of himself as a cat.  He would always be with our Labradors whether it be playing or resting.  You might find him out running in and out of their legs or curled up next to them.  He was a jumper…he loved to jump up and down walls.  We used to see how high he could make it and it was indeed almost to the ceiling.  Among one of his favorite things to do was to get a fresh drink of water from our pond and then lie down and soak up the sun.  A funny characteristic of Cody was that he would reach out and swat you with his paw if you weren’t paying him enough attention at the time that he wanted it.

We realized about a year ago, that Cody’s health was slowly deteriorating and that we should take him for another Vet check.  Each time we took him in he acted as though he was ten years younger.  It was like he knew exactly what was going on.  The Veterinarians at Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic gave a clean bill of health other then the normal getting old (not old wiser) and sent us home.  We were blessed with Cody’s friendship and presence for one more month.

We thank the staff at Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic for all their kindness and Professionalism.  They are truly a fantastic group of people.

Thank you Cody for the joy you have brought to our family and for the opportunity to love you.  You are greatly missed.  Tell Brax, Jasper, and Chelsea we love them.
