At a time like this what can one say about a lifelong relationship? To me
and the rest of my family Lacey was more that just a pet, she was the sixth
member of our family.
Lacey came into our lives on my tenth birthday, she was a skinny scared
dog living at the Humane society. We brought her home to realize that she
could RUN! She was the fastest dog I had ever seen and would put all other
dogs to shame. I can still recall the feeling of seeing her run, fast and
low right on the ground as if she was flying.
I cannot convey the grief that I am feeling right now and I thank you all
for providing this forum to express my grief and the feelings of loss. We
all loved Lacey and we all hope that she is in a good place where the fields
are endless and the Frisbees are always flying.
