Goose
1992-2007
On Friday, March 23, 2007 I said goodbye to Goose. She was a
fighter to the end but it was time to let her go. She fought cancer
and kidney failure for 3 years with the help of the wonderful staff at
Sunset Pet Hospital. She passed very peacefully in my arms and she was
so beautiful. I am forever grateful and forever blessed for the 15
years of love, comfort, companionship, and entertainment that Goose gave to
me. Goose touched many lives and had many friends. She had a way
of making you feel special when she jumped in your lap.
Even after our baby was born, Goose kept herself as the center of
attention. She never lost that spunky but sweet personality. She had a
long life, well lived.
I miss Goose all the time. I miss her when I make coffee in the
morning, she is not meowing at my feet. I miss her at the dinner
table, she is not sitting in the empty chair watching me eat. I miss
her when I go to bed, she is not next to me purring. And I miss her
when the sun is shining on the deck and she is not there to enjoy it.
Please celebrate the life of this great cat and remember her fondly.
