Bandit
Bandit, an Alaskan Husky-Malamute came into my life on November 17, 2001.
He was adopted from the Whatcom Humane Society at 7 1/2 years old.
Bandit was gray and white and such a fun dog to be with. When I went
to pick him up at the shelter, I took Madison, my 9 year old Rottweiler to
meet him (she passed away on 12/02/06). He was so excited to greet
her, he sang and danced, the malamute way! Bandit loved going to Birch
Bay State Park to walk in the woods or on the beach, playing with his
favorite stuffed duck, riding in the car and receiving treats at the
espresso stand, and opening his own birthday and Christmas gifts. Bandit
was a real trooper! He had bilateral hip dysplasia and went weekly
through the border to Canada for his underwater treadmill therapy.
Bandit, being a family member, had the very best of care from the
veterinarians and staff at Village Veterinary Hospital, Aldergrove Animal
Hospital, and Cana da West Veterinary Specialists. I am so grateful to each
of them! Bandit went to be with God on August 25, 2007. He had
osteosarcoma. One day I will meet Bandit on the Rainbow Bridge, but
until then, I have many wonderful memories and pictures to hold onto.
There is comfort knowing Bandit is no longer in pain. Bandit, you are
loved by many!!
