Patches was that once in a lifetime dog and I can't tell you how much we miss her now that she is gone. She was a people dog that loved to play, loved children and had never ending energy. When you played ball with her you were hard pressed to sneak one by her. Patches focus was so intense, that when you would move your foot side to side like you were going to kick the ball, you could actually see her body shift ever so slightly side to side. A sneeze would bring a tirade of barks and growls and I pitied the closest dog toy as she would shake the stuffing out of it. The house is quiet and just not the same. We will truly miss this dog for the rest of our time. I hope dogs have a place in heaven to be with us when we go, because I look forward to seeing her again.
