  Zandy

Zandy was a Belgian Malinois, born June 1, 1992. A very smart girl who had what it takes to become a police officer as a Narcotics Detection K-9. She began her work with the Nisqually Tribal Police in 1997. In 1999 until her retirement in 2002, her partner was my son Steve. During those years Zandy was the only NDK-9 in Thurston County and would be called upon to work for other police departments in the area. She could be counted on every time to do her job well.

Upon her retirement, Steve brought his partner home to live a well-deserved life of leisure. Zandy was loved by all - a wonderful personality - and her passing leaves a void in our lives. She was buried with honor in the Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Olympia, WA.
