  Willow

In the fall of 1991 we acquired Willow the wisp, a female mini black and silver wire haired dapple Dachshund as a companion to our 3 year old sable (red) smooth mini male Dachshund Pacer. The lady we purchased her from was so taken with willow that she wanted to keep her, but she realized that willow was going to a good home and we reached a deal. Our first memories were when we brought her home and our male Dachshund wanted to get rid of her (jealously problem). We had to put her in a cage to protect her from him. One day shortly thereafter we put both dogs outside in the yard and the male realized she was a female and they bonded for life on the spot. She was the happiest and most loving dog we had ever had. She was always in a good mood, and was never a problem. Everyone she came into contact with loved her and she will be greatly missed.
