We are sad to lose our Smokey.  Smokey lived all of his life with the disease, Diabetes Insipidus, which is very rare and little research has been done.

He lived until he was almost fourteen years old.  He drank water constantly.  We gave him 200cc of fluids every day at home the last 1.5 years of his life.  He had the best care we could give him. 

Smokey had a stroke June 8th and was euthanized June 10th.  In spite of all the good care he had his condition did not improve.  We will always miss his spirit.  He was a trooper every day of his life.
