  Mia

Mia was a pitbull/shepard mix who will be missed greatly. She wandered into our lives in the summer of 2001 and was always about one foot behind me ever since. In 2005 she was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. After many tears and hours of deliberation we decided to treat her. She lived for 17 months after the initiation of treatment and I believe that it was worth all of the time and money it cost us. Mia was a mutt but I know she will be the best dog that we have, and will ever own. I am writing this in hope that other people will decided to adopt animals that need homes. She added more to our lives than can be put in words and I can only hope other individuals will have such an wonderful experience owning a pet. Next time you see that homeless dog wandering around your neighborhood or see an animal that needs a home, consider that you may find your soul mate and give it a chance. Also, thank you to the Pet Health Clinic and our families that have helped us with Mia and helped us deal with her loss.
