  Giles

Giles, our chocolate point Siamese, lost his battle with chronic bronchial problems that finally ended in tumors in his lungs. He was only 11 years old when we had to let him go.

I miss him so much in so many ways, but the hardest time is when I go into the kitchen to make tea. Somehow he always seemed to know that that is what I was doing and would come and ask to be held while the tea steeped. As weak as he was he followed this ritual until the very end. Right now I have to leave the kitchen while the tea steeps, but I know some day the pain of his loss will lessen and I will have fond memories of this wonderful cat and friend every time I drink a cup of tea.
