  Bootsy

Our Bootsy came to us after being rescued from a very bad situation. She had been tangled in barb wire until her left hind foot had fallen off at the hock. She was wormy, half starved & expecting. Somehow she gave birth to a healthy boy just two months after she came to live with us. Our Togenburg doe, Ginger, was with her when the kid was born and seemed to know Bootsy needed help. She took over nursing him most of the time. He would nurse on Bootsy until she was dry, then nurse on Ginger. As you can guess, he got to be a big boy. She was a very sweet and trusting girl and she will be missed.
