WSU’s First Corgi, Cayenne, lost a six-month battle with cancer on November 1. She was fortunate to have excellent cancer treatment care from WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. For the last seven years, the staff at Alpine Animal Hospital brought love and caring to her home away from home. We were blessed with eight years together with her sassy attitude and big heart. She loved playing ball and camping in our RV. She also loved getting belly rubs and ear scratches from WSU students when they would pet their stress away on various campuses over the last seven years. Cayenne loved people, other dogs not so much. One of her favorite people was Cui. She was a constant companion in the ups and downs of life. She is missed by Kirk and Noel but continues to hold a special place in our hearts.
