Bella

A donation was made in memory of Bella on Feb 19, 2010.

In July of 2009, Bella was diagnosed with a rare form of mast cell cancer, and was given one month to live. She was only six years old, and the light of my life. She put up a courageous fight for six months, until she could not fight anymore.

Through a generous outpouring of support from friends and people who had never met her, Bella was able to obtain treatment with an experimental cancer drug called MasiVet from France. Bella's fundraising campaign (contributions given online, local donation jars and private contributions) generated more than $1,800 to help with the cost of veterinary consultations, lab work, and medications. Bella was a trooper and an inspiration throughout this fight. Her gregarious personality, warmth and love of life will be forever missed.

Thank you to her compassionate team of vets:
Dr. Mortimer and Dr. Hereen, Greenlake Animal Hospital, Seattle
Dr. Alice Villalobos and Roni Miyashiro, Pawspice, Los Angeles
Dr. Albert Ahn, President, A-B Sciences U.S. Division, New Jersey (makers of the cancer drug Masitinib)

Leslie S.
