Manny

A donation was made in memory of Manny on Jun 11, 2015.

Manny was an AMAZING dog. Honestly I feel lucky to have been his owner for 9 years. He was that special kind of dog that doesn't come into ones life very often. I truly found this out after he had passed.

Manny's passing was fairly quick. He started having seizures on a Thursday night. I'd been taking him to the vet all weekend and came home Monday morning to pick him up for another vet visit and found him dead. It was one of the worst things I've had to deal with. After we took him to the vet and said our goodbyes I went to his favorite place to hang out. One thing to note about Manny, is that he's a beer dog. He's named after Manny's Pale Ale from Georgetown Brewing in Seattle, WA. He hangs out with me at Triplehorn Brewing in Woodinville, WA and had become quite the fixture. He liked to lay on the cool concrete floor and look pathetic so people would pet him. Or he would jump up with both paws on the bar and do a soft bark so that the girls behind the bar would give him a cookie (usually a lot more than one!). I told the patrons that were his friends and not one of them had a dry eye. After we notified Georgetown Brewing, they told us they took up a donation in his honor to donate to Furry Friends in West Seattle. An anonymous person left me a card with $100 in it at the bar. The post on Facebook telling everyone of his passing had over 100 comments about him. Manny was even kind of famous internationally. I used to have a webcam on him during the day. I had some folks out of Japan and England that used to watch him online email me saying how much they would miss his sweet face.

He loved my family so much. He would sit at the window waiting for his Grandpa Mike (my Dad) whenever he knew he was coming over. When he knew his Mom was coming to pick him up Manny always got super excited and couldn't wait to see her. When I told him my son would be back at our place he would go lay in the hallway to his room waiting for him. Seeing his big smiling mug when I got home from work every day was a highlight. He was my very best friend and I will miss him forever. Goodbye sweet, sweet Manny. Your Pop and Mamma love you forever.
