Blackberri

A donation was made in memory of Blackberri by Doctors and Staff of the East Mill Plain Animal Hospital on Jun 22, 2010.

In 1994, my Blackberri knocked on the door and asked for room and board. I told her that I didn’t have time for a cat. When I returned from summer travels, she was sleeping on my car determined that I was the chosen one.
Soon I realized that our relationship would be on her terms. Blackberri charmed me with gifts of live birds, squirrels, moles, snakes and other treasures. She allowed me to serve her as a Goddess. Once she had my heart, she allowed me to take her throughout the United States and Canada.
Blackberri was named after the famous Langston Hughes’ line, “The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice.” My Blackberri was blacker than black and the sweetest friend I ever had.
In 2010, as I held her on my lap, my Blackberri peacefully returned to her Heavenly Realm. I miss her so much, but what I have learned from her about trust, curiosity, giving, patience, peace, love, snuggling and loyalty will carry me through life.
See you again, my Goddess Blackberri!
