Jiggy wasn't spoiled or anything, just the King of the house!
He showed up as a stray long ago at my parent's house and lived outside, happily wondering around on their 3 acres. Then I inherited him when she got a German Shepherd that didn't like him. I kept him in the house for the next 12+ years and he had no desire to be an outside cat!
He was my comfort when my dad passed 10 years ago and then again when my older brother passed last year.
Jiggy became diabetic and had to have insulin shots twice a day and did well for a couple of years, but then it took its toll on him. I had a vet come to my house when it was his time to go, and he was peacefully escorted over the rainbow bridge. He was almost 20 years old. It's been a little over a month since he's been gone, and I miss him terribly. This is the first time in about 30 years that I haven't had some kind of critter running around here.
