A donation was made in memory of Stewart by
the doctors and staff at North End Pet Hospital on
Jan 03, 2024.
My husband, daughter, dog Gus and I drove from Tacoma to Ellensburg during the Pandamic to adopt an 8 y.o. dog that had been rescued from a kill shelter in SoCal. Despite my hesitation to take him (a Pit Bull), he took quickly to us and more importantly, Gus. We brought him home and within a few days he became the center of our household. Stewart was the most loyal, loving, gentle, sweet and goofy couch potato we had ever had. He only wanted to love and be loved and he got and gave love every moment - unless he was sleeping. His silly antics had us laughing and loving him always.
He was diagnosed with cancer on 12/18 and our world changed in an instant. We brought him home and 3 weeks later, had Lap of Love come and euthanize him, with all of our family loving and touching him.
We miss him every day but are so grateful for the 3 years we had with him. I cannot express how much we are grieving him and mourning his passing. We are so grateful for the donation that our vet, North End Pet Hospital, gave to you in Stewart’s memory.
Stewart changed my perception on the “Pit Bull” categorization. He was our 1st “Pittie” but surely will not be our last.
