Life with Sarah
Sarah had been with our family since she was a puppy, arriving at our home as a present from grandpa to our young sons. From the first time we laid eyes on her, it was love at first site. As she grew, her temperament and devotion to our family never wavered. Although never formally trained, Sarah loved to herd cows. She was of mixed breed, part border collie, part blue heeler. Raised on our farm, we encouraged Sarah to round up our herd of 8 cows and calves, although no encouragement was necessary; it just came naturally. I also remember fondly her barking at the neighboring birds in a large cedar tree where they would torment her, yet she loved their attention. Sarah was a devoted companion and we will miss her and will never forget the memories we shared.
