Scooter was our little 19 1/2 year old pomeranian. Scooter was a real survivor! Staff at our veterinary hospital always talked about his spark of life. Scooter came to us from rescue when he was 12 years old and he went on to live with us for over 7 1/2 years. He had almost been starved to death by his former owners and only weighed 3 1/2 pounds. We were able to add two more pounds to his weight and he grew a beautiful full tail and the hair came back on his ears! He wanted love so badly, but came to us with so many fears and quirks that he could be pretty feisty in the beginning. Once he felt safe he began to have fun running in our backyard and hanging out with his brother and sister poms. They even finally taught him to drink water out of a bowl, after four years of only drinking it off the floor. He ended up being a very cuddly little guy and we miss him dearly. We will always remember his will to live and his joy in being alive.
