We knew the moment we brought Brutus home our lives would never be the same. He was the light of our lives. Brutus loved the water. As our first german shepherd we had no idea he was going to be a water dog. He could swim for hours and his favorite place in the world was the ocean beaches and we tried to take him any chance we could. He was friend, protector, teddy bear, but mostly a family member. His later years were difficult as his body was much older than his mind. The puppy we knew would come out to play on his good days. Other days he would love to lay on the front porch watching people walk by. It has been a devastating loss, but he gave us 12 1/2 wonderful years. We miss you Brutus and will love you always.
