Fudge

A donation was made in memory of Fudge by Dr. Nancy U. Williams on Apr 20, 2011.

Fudge won my heart when I came to visit Don (who would become my husband) on his farm in Saskatchewan. Always being a dog lover, Fudge won me over at the first wag of his tale.

One beautiful summer day Don and I turned out of the driveway, heading out for a drive in his sports car. Don looked in the rearview mirror and there was Fudge, running behind. Don stopped the car, opened up the door to speak with Fudge and send him back home when Fudge seized the opportunity of the open door and jumped inside. As you can see from the picture, Fuge was not a small dog so he took up any available space to be had. No choice but to turn around and take him back. I took that to mean, it's time for a female in this farmer's life and I'm not letting you go.

We miss him terribly and cherish the memories we have of him - even when he brought home dead chickens from our neighbour's chicken farm and scattered feathers everywere.

Thank you for the opportunity to express our gratitude and memorialize Fudge.

Comments: Dear Shirley and Don, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Fudge. I lost my cat, Bobbin, in August, and my other cat, Thimble is slowly dying form kidney failure. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time. I hope your happy memories of Fudge help to sustain you. I am sure he could not have had better owners or a more loving and exciting life.
