Ipo
Our beloved Ipo came into our lives in 2003 at the age of 2 years. She captured our love at the Honolulu Humane Shelter, and from there became a part of our family.
Her life quickly became a deep love shared between us. She was so appreciative of our love and caring, and reflected her affection in so many ways. Always there to nestle beside us on a couch, the floor, or bed. Providing gentle wakeups in the morning. Youthful and playful through all her years. Our constant greeter as we returned home and opened the door. Communicating with us in a multitude of voices and purrs. Always calm and understanding as we tended to her grooming and health needs.
In 2012 Ipo was diagnosed with large and small cell lymphoma in her digestive tract, and at the time given three months to live. Through the loving, devoted care of her veterinary doctors and us, she amazed everyone with a quality and joyful life for the next three years. Very suddenly in June 2015, Ipo’s illness progressed rapidly and we put her to rest on June 15th. These last three years were the most special and blessed years of our time together.
Ipo was truly part of the fabric of our everyday lives, and woven deeply into a mutual love within our hearts. We shall miss her dearly, but always cherish the love and bright, warm memories she added to our life’s journey.
