Jasper was a well-loved bi-black Shetland sheepdog. He loved his family so much that he would rather be near us than play with others at the dog park. He would often gaze in your eyes trying to tell you how much he loved you. He had a peaceful and gentle disposition. He was smart and well-restrained. If he stole food, he would leave most of it untouched so you wouldn't notice. He hated fireworks and squirrels. Once, he tried to say "Mama". We lost him after enduring chemotherapy and other treatment, but he did not suffer long. Most of the pain has been in missing his presence in the house and waiting at the door when we come home. We loved him so much and he forever changed our lives for the better.
