Pal

A donation was made in memory of Pal by Drs. Gary, Jacy and Karyn Cook, Shari Bearrow, Jenee' Daws, Dominic Eickert and Jennifer Higgins at All West Veterinary Hospital on Dec 07, 2020.

Pal was a very intelligent and loving horse. He and Roy went on several trail rides in the Bridger Mountains around Bozeman and Belgrade, Montana. Once when they were riding, they all stopped for lunch and a break. The saddles were removed from the horses so they could graze and rest, but they were all secured in some manner. Pal somehow escaped and took off. Roy said he wasn't sure how he was going to find him and could just see himself carrying the heavy saddle and gear all the way back to the truck and trailer. As he and our friend (who had his horse with him) started back, they spotted Pal in the distance, not too far from where they had paused for lunch. Pal thought he was hiding his big, long Thoroughbred body behind a small tree with his face strategically placed behind the tree trunk, then peaking around to see if Roy was coming and if he seemed upset that Pal had "taken off". Of course, Roy was not upset and was happy to see Pal. When Pal realized he was not "in trouble" he gladly came out from his hiding place and trotted to meet them. He could be mischievous and funny but also a sweet, loving horse! We sure miss our Pal!
