Lucy, our fiercely independent alpha-dog, you kept us all in line and were the true leader of our family. You brought so many years of love into our lives. You always tried your hardest to be the best little bear possible, and to take care of your brother.

Our sweet love-bug, we miss sharing our breakfast and snacks with you every day, seeing your head tilt as you listen to every word spoken (you loved hearing "puggle," "carrot," and "cheddar rockets") and every sound (especially the ocean waves, crunching autumn leaves, and the refrigerator door), listening to your Lucy-strolls as you pinballed around the house, how you came to find us whenever you needed something (even if it was to tattle on yourself), your morning sneeze each day as we left the bedroom, the softest ears in all the land, watching you calm down and become a different dog when you no longer had Lennox to care for, the way you burrowed under blankets, your time-telling and counting skills, the way your sniffing nose looked like a rabbit, how you could still lead the way on walks after becoming blind, face snuggles and rump scratches, your Lucy noises, and you going to the door for all the things - not just potty - because you knew it would get us up.

We miss you every day. You did so well as our little blind dog, but we're relieved that you are now at peace. And we're happy Bug & Buddy are together again. You and Lennox be sure to take care of each other.
