I was not ready for another pet, having just lost my beloved Littlebits a year prior. My daughter came to me with a heartfelt plea to take her friend's kitty, who was ten at the time. I reluctantly took her in, but immediately fell in love with her. I only had her for about four years, but that did not lessen the pain of her loss. Each one of our furbabies is a precious gift, and I treasure the time I am blessed to be in their company.
