Charger came into my life after I fostered him and 3 of his siblings. When he was only 8 weeks old he ended up coming down with a virus that caused him to have swelling in his brain and behind his eyes. We think he had a form of meningitis. He ended up losing his hearing, and when he was only 2 he lost his vision. So he was blind and deaf. I ended up adopting him and his brother Dodge. He came to live with me and my boyfriend at the time (now husband) when I went to school at Washington State University. He was born the year that I met my husband at WSU, and he had been with us for 12 years. He had so many health issues that he had seen so many different departments at WSU. He visited Neurology, Ophthalmology, Internal Specialists after consuming a shoestring and having to get abdominal surgery, as well as general wellness visits. He was laid to rest after his pancreatic cancer got too invasive. I miss him so much and I will cherish the time I had with him forever. <3
