Zahbaar

A donation was made in memory of Zahbaar by the doctors and staff at Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates on Mar 17, 2017.

My first, owned by me horse! He was born on May 5, 1983. We were companions from the time he was about 9 months old. He loved to go to the ocean and run! He loved to splash around in any water and never refused a water obstacle on cross country. He raised 3 generations of children on his back, so gentle, so kind with little ones. He loved chocolate :) Peppermint Patties and Reese's PB cups were his favorite. And...he was a chronic colicer. Had exploratory surgery in '95, found nothing, pink healthy guts :) Taught him to love 5 gallon mashes! Many cold nights on I.V. fluids :( Many nights being up, giving mashes every two hours so he didn't have to be on I.V. fluids. By the Lord's grace and awesome Veterinarian's (almost all of whom are/were WSU Grads) I managed to pull him through each & every one. Next to my husband and children, he was the love of my life and I will miss him forever. On a better "note", some of his tail hairs will be made into a viola bow for a good friend and talented musician. He will go on and make beautiful music. Thank You All for what you do. Thank you to our family & friends at Northwest Equine Vet. Assoc., Dr. Latimer et. al. for ALL those panicked phone calls and late nights. The assistant's who work as long and hard as the doctor's and the office staff, which, without them, our lives would be miserable!
