I adopted Chloe when she was 4 months old from the Twin Falls Animal Shelter. She was originally from the Burley area. How someone could have given up such a special dog, I'll never understand. She was so timid, I had to carry her out of the shelter. But, she bonded with me right away. She began following me around on the first day. From that day forward she was a one owner dog. She was my best friend. I talked with her as if she was a human. We moved to Seattle before her 1st birthday. This March she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. She was 4 years old. They said she only had a few weeks/months to live. But, we went through all the rounds of chemo and radiation recommended. The folks at WSU were so wonderful and caring. She had another 6 wonderful months. This photo was taken a few weeks before she died. She was still chasing squirrels and enjoying life. We moved back to Idaho in August and she passed in September 2016. This photo was taken near the Boise River. She would have been 5 on October 1st. I love her and miss her, always.
