Laverne was an elderly stray with ear, skin and respiratory infections when she was taken in by Old Dog Haven. She was deaf and had a tumor on her adrenal gland. I was fortunate to be the foster parent for her final two and a half years. She was a gentle soul who put up with medicated baths, ear drops and multiple pills. All she asked was a soft bed and to be close to the person she called her own. I understand that Chamber's Creek Veterinary Hospital, who oversaw her care through many visits, has made a donation to you for patient care and research. I can't think of a better way to honor the memory of this little beagle cross with the happy disposition.
