Attached you will find a picture of Ziggy, our beloved one eyed cat who passed away last week at the ripe old age of 21. A little backstory: my wife, Iris, got Ziggy when she was 18 and he's been her familiar ever since. When he was five he got hit be a car—twice—and lost his eye. He survived as long as he could—he truly loved being alive. Ziggy enjoyed going for walks and we'd often patrol the neighborhood together, even on his last day. Anyone passing by was a friend to be had and he was sure to let them know it. After Ziggy died Iris and I erected a little memorial outside our house. Over the next couple of days people left all sorts of flowers, cards, candles, and small toy animals for him—we were very touched.
