Our horse "Luvy", which was short for "Love to Smoke", was our beautiful black and white mare that we have had since she was a yearling. She was 28 years old when we finally made the decision to end her suffering. Her feet hurt her so much and we were giving her pain medication 2x a day. We did not feel she would make it through the winter as we have had some harsh winters. We have many memories of going up in the hills and doing a lot of trail riding with her. My Dad did ride her in the yearly Ellensburg parade a couple years in a row. People would comment on what a beautiful horse she was. She was easy to ride for kids and beginners. One of her favorite things to do was climb into the water trough with her front legs and splash around on a hot summer day. She was a character to say the least. Nothing will replace all the fond memories we had with her over the years..
