A donation was made in memory of Squishy Face on
Feb 16, 2016.
Squishy Face lived for approximately 18 to
19 years. I have attached a video link about how Squishy came into my life (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZELgF3fiT6E).
Squishy Face was like a service Cat to me. My boyfriend passed away in 2005 and I was stuck in my condo down 16 steps for 8 months until a nonprofit agency built a 70 foot wheelchair ramp. My house has wheelchair modifications about 1,000 skilled man hours. When my boyfriend passed away I went into a wheelchair. I thought my life was over.
I have been struggling with an undiagnosed disease probably for my whole life. I have been in a wheelchair since 2004 and my boyfriend passed away 5 months later.
As my disease progressed Squishy Face would be by my side at all times even when I ended up on the floor. Squishy Face would stay by anybody if they fell on the floor until somebody showed up like the Fire Department. The South King County Fire Department knows Squishy Face by name. He was a very social cat almost like a dog. I could have 10 people in a room and he would be sitting on his chair in the middle of all the action.
As my disease has progressed, I have been a quadriplegic since 2013, which means I am paralyzed from the neck down. Sacajawea Health Care for Pets would work with me to get Squishy's needs met.
Towards the end Squishy suffered from dementia and dental disease. He definitely had a routine and I miss him terribly. I never had any children.
